Vom 07. – 09. Juli findet an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin das Internationale Kolloquium
 „Meditating Migration / Méditations migrantes. Meta/Textualities in Transcultural African Narratives„ statt. 

Die Konferenz ist ein gemeinsames Projekt des Seminars für Afrikawissenschaften der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und der Partneruniversitäten University of Stellenbosch (Südafrika) und Université Cheikh Anta Diop (Senegal).

Zu den insgesamt sieben Panels des zweisprachigen Kolloquiums (Englisch und Französisch) werden neben Vortragenden aus Dakar, Berlin und Stellenbosch auch Gäste aus den USA, Uganda, Schweden, Frankreich und England erwartet. Prominente Sprecher_innen werden der renommierte Autor und in Kent lehrende Literaturprofessor Abdulrazak Gurnah aus Tanzania sowie die senegalesische Erfolgsautorin Fatou Diome aus Straßburg sein. Die Eröffnungsveranstaltung am 07. Juli im Jazzkeller der Kulturfabrik Schlot wird außerdem durch den Berliner Performancekünstler Mansour Ciss aus Senegal mitgestaltet.
